The Charlotte Music Awards is now taking nominations for the 2012 Carolina Song of the Year. 10 songs will be selected from the public nominations by Dec 31st, and then fans will be able to vote from the top 10 between Jan 3rd and Jan 30th via text messaging for their favorite song. The winner will receive an award and perform at the Charlotte Music Award's Red Carpet Affair.
To apply, a songwriter must meet the following requirements and complete the form below:
1. The songwriter must live in North Carolina or South Carolina.
2. Must be over the age of 18
3. The songwriter must have at least 500 FaceBook fans on their official faceBook homepage.
4. The songwriter cannot be signed to a major record label.
5. The songwriter must have at least one song released to the public in 2012.
6. The songwriter's official representative must complete the application form below.
7. The songwriter can only submit one song for "Song of the Year" and must email it in MP3 format to info@charlottemusicawards.org for review.
The final nominations will be selected the Charlotte Music Awards Advisory Committee.
