CMA Raises $2000 for Nashville Flood Relief

Congratulations to Dogwood and Alan Barrington for winning the Nashville Night In The Carolinas Showcase. Both acts will perform at our Red Carpet event in Nov.

With the destructive event that hit Nashville this spring, the Charlotte Music Awards has decided to stage a fundraiser for the “Home of Country Music”. What better way to support them than by putting together a showcase featuring musicians who have roots and perform in the Carolinas and in Nashville.

On Saturday, August 14th, 2010, we presented more than fourteen musicians and bands who came together to not only raise money for Nashville, but to show the Carolinas what they’ve got.

The show featured,Jeff Luckadoo, The James-Younger Gang, Jamie Kay, Jamie Purnell, Lucinda Lucas, Landmark featuring Tammy Griffith, Alan Barrington and Caroline Keller, Lyra Shines, Tim Hall & Buffalo Country, Dogwood, David Lambert & Night Train, Sara Scott, and Jesse Bryant & The Country Outlaws and our Special Guests direct from Nashville, Kenny Lee and Rick Blaylock.

The fundraiser took place at Easy Eddie’s 12125 Statesville Road, Hwy 21, Huntersville, NC and a big CMA Shout out to Judy Ellis of Easy Eddie's for all her help, attention to detail and hospitality.
