The Charlotte Music Awards showcases all aspects of music in Charlotte and the Carolinas. Our goal is to enhance the profile of the music community in the region and support local music and local artists. With such a large talent base in a region steeped in rich musical tradition, the Charlotte Music Awards hosts between eight to ten showcases in different genres for local residents, and bands from all over the region compete for top honors. Jeff Cheen, Founder of the Charlotte Music Awards, presented a Special Recognition Award to Brent Harvey, Co-Founder of the Hollywood Music In Media Awards, at it's annual Red Carpet event in Hollywood on Nov. 17th. Mr. Harvey was also a presenter at the CMA Red Carpet Affair in Charlotte, NC on Dec. 8th. The CMA's and HMMA's are sister organizations.  |
