The Charlotte Music Awards is now taking nominations for the 2012 Carolina Band of the Year. 10 bands will be selected from the public nominations by Dec 31st, 2012, and then fans will be able to vote from the top 10 between Jan 3rd and Jan 30th via text messaging for their favorite band. The winner will receive an award and perform at the Charlotte Music Award's Red Carpet Affair.
To apply, a band must meet the following requirements and complete the form below:
1. The band's homebase must be in North Carolina or South Carolina.
2. All band members must be over the age of 18.
3. The band must have at least 500 FaceBook fans on their official faceBook homepage.
4. The band cannot be signed to a major record label.
5. The band must have had at least 10 live performances in a public venue in 2012.
6. The band's official representative must complete the application form below.
The final nominations will be selected the Charlotte Music Awards Advisory Committee.
